Co-founded by world renowned celebrity stylist, Anita Patrickson, and Simply Stylist’s Sarah Boyd, the International Style Institute is a 3-day intensive course that provides creative individuals with the education to cultivate their brand while learning all they need to know to build a successful career from industry experts.

The International Style Institute launched in March 2015 in Los Angeles, CA in partnership with ALLURE and The Grove with a successful follow up event in October 2015. This past June the International Style Institute expanded east with its first New York event in partnership with ALLURE, Conde Nast and Brookfield Place held at the stunning One World Trade Center. As it heads back to the west coast, the International Style Institute is introducing the next phase of its style education: CONTENT CREATION! Content creation has quickly become the most visible way to express your personal style in a range of verticals. Having a natural ability for fashion and style, Anita planted her roots in Los Angeles where she promptly was secured by Conde Nast as the Assistant West Coast Editor for Allure Magazine. She went on to help style celebrity covers such as Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Katherine Heigl and more. Following Conde Nast, Anita broke away to pursue her freelance stylist career where she has worked with clients such as Emma Watson, Julianne Hough, Emmy Rossum, Rachel Bilson, Nina Dobrev, Chanel Iman, Taylor Kitsch, Chris Colfer and more. Patrickson’s distinct eye for styling has provided the opportunity for her to branch into television, film and commercials. She has worked on successful campaigns such as The Vampire Diaries, Target, CoverGirl, Nike, Pantene, Proactiv, AG Jeans, Rolex as well as with big networks and studios like Paramount, Warner Brothers, and the CW Network. Her successful career has launched her as an influencer where she has worked with brands like Woolite and Target. In 2014, Anita was one of the hosts for the Samsung Billboard Music Awards 2014 Red Carpet Live Show as well as appearing on E! for the Oscar’s pre-show coverage. Anita appears regularly on Access Hollywood, PopSugar, and E!, and she is a spokesperson for Harper’s Bazaar.


With years of experience in fashion PR under her belt, Sarah set out to start her own multi-service boutique agency. In 2011 she launched Simply Stylist to connect the style makers she encountered on a daily basis with brands, events and other opportunities. This eventually grew to include what is now a core part of Simply Inc., the Simply Stylist conference. The conference has been so successful that it has expanded to multiple cities, and smaller monthly sessions in LA. In 2014 she launched Simply Digital Network, an agency representing celebrity bloggers for online campaigns, collaborations and social media partnerships. Forbes named Boyd a “Female Founder to Watch” in 2013, and she’s been featured in Marie Claire, People StyleWatch, Fox, E! and more. She is also a fashion and beauty contributor to Forbes and a style expert host for Joyous.
